Summary

Preparation is often the most difficult part of your search for information. If you approach this correctly, you will reap the benefits throughout the rest of the search process. It is therefore important to be clear in your mind about exactly what it is you wish to know about before starting your search.

Firstly, you explore your subject. After this, you formulate a clear main question and possibly a number of sub-questions. In order to answer these, formulate search questions. It is only when these questions are clear that you can think up concrete search terms which allow you to search more quickly, efficiently and purposefully!
