Summary

In this module, you have learned a number of search techniques which enable you to search more efficiently in the information resources you chose to use.

You now know how to combine search terms using AND, OR and NOT and how to include spelling variations using truncation and masking. You have learned how to search using exact phrases and you are now able to make good use of the various search entries in a database.
You have also learned a number of methods, making it possible to search for more recent or relevant literature on the basis of your search result. This is done by using references to literature, citations and by varying the number of search terms. Of course, this all depends on the options provided in the various databases.

In any event, being able to conduct an advanced search is very important!
