Simple or advanced searches
Most databases and search engines offer a simple search box on their home page. You can enter single search terms in this search box, but you can also use it to combine search terms. For example:
school AND Amsterdam
Usually, more extensive search options can be found under advanced search.
Using advanced searches, you can formulate your search enquiry much more precisely, combine terms or exclude them. You can enter multiple search terms in different search fields.
